Nostalgia Alert!

I’m currently in the process of putting as much of the extraneous possessions I’ve acquired over the years on to eBay. One of these items is my old 32″ television, which we definitely no longer need as we have an LG 37-incher in the living room and no real room for any other TVs anywhere […]

Having a clear out…

It looks as if Alex and I will be moving house very shortly, we’ve put an application in for a new house to rent and assuming that’s all approved we should be in within a month. The new house doesn’t have quite as big a driveway as the one we’re in at the moment, but […]

Gallery: BMW M5 (2005)

The latest addition to my car history is this rather lovely 2005 BMW M5. With 507bhp and a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, this is something of a monster. I’ll be writing a full review of the car once I’ve become more familiar with it and it’s functions, but for now have some photos. The […]

Movie Review: The Dark Knight Rises

tdkr_batmanIt’s been a long time coming (four years almost to the day, in fact) but the final instalment of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy is here at last.

Christopher Nolan’s film-making chops find themselves under even greater scrutiny this time around – we’ve all been waiting for this epic conclusion since we saw Batman ride away into the light on the Batpod, but has he delivered?

Note: This is a pretty long review, but should be almost completely spoiler-free.

Gallery: Spiders

Ever since I were knee ‘igh to a grasshopper, I’ve wanted to keep tarantulas as pets. For some inexplicable reason, my Mum wouldn’t allow it. I dunno, apparently they freaked her out or something, can’t imagine why.

But anyway, in 2008, I decided to bite the bullet and bought a spiderling (that’s a baby spider to the layman) Mexican Red-knee tarantula (Latin name brachypelma smithi) from The Spider Shop.
