The Steyr AUG ("Armee Universal Gewehr", or "Army Universal Rifle") is one of the most distinctive weapons available today.
It's unique design and "bullpup" configuration has given the AUG a wide user base in law enforcement and the military. It is the primary assault weapon of the Pakistani Army. It has also been used by the Luxembourg Army, the British Special Air Service (SAS) and even the U.S. Customs Service.
This replica of the AUG is manufactured by Tokyo Marui. They produced two variants of the AUG, the "military" version based on the Steyr AUG A1 and a "civilian" version based on the Steyr AUG SR. As the name on this page suggests, this replica is the "civilian" model. The "SR" designation stands for "special receiver" and means that the gun does not feature the integrated scope found on the AUG A1 model. In it's place is a standard 20mm rail which allows the shooter to add their own optics.
